Canyon V - Adult
Built for both the commercial outfitter and private float parties, the Canyon V for adults and youth were designed with the help of Beth and Gary Harper of Man of Rubber. Their 30 years of experience with the punishing demands of serious river running have helped make the Canyon V a serious performer. The 400D nylon ripstop shell is durable yet has a great feel to it. The large arm openings are very comfortable for all day wear. 4 webbing straps are attached with durability and security in mind. 6 points of adjustment for a secure hold down. High contact area around the neck is black to hide the inevitable stains. 2 adult sizes ensure a proper fit for all body types, and a wide waist tunnel with clip closure reduces ride-up.
We love to make life jackets that our customers want to wear.
With Plymouth Harbor and Cape Cod in our backyard, we can kayak, canoe, fish, SUP or sail just five minutes from our office and warehouse in Plympton, Massachusetts. With this as our playground, it's no surprise that our design inspiration comes out of what we experience ourselves. When our kids were little, we set out to build a better youth jacket: the BOB. When we fell in love with Standup Board Paddling we set out to transform the boring inflatable belt pack into something cool that we'd want to wear. New for 2013 is the VOYAGER. It was born out of our experience of having a multigenerational household. Seeing my 80 year old Dad struggle to clip up a life jacket set us to thinking. How could we make a PFD for active seniors that would address the physical challenges of aging? How could it be easier to put on and use so that they would be encouraged to keep boating? Funny thing is, when we introduced the vest at Outdoor Retailer we discovered that there are a lot of people who can benefit from the VOYAGER. Like a wounded warrior with a prosthetic hand. As a proud supporter of Heroes on the Water, we are looking forward to supplying MTI vests to more chapters across the country in 2013.
At the center of our thinking is the belief that if we can build better product, people will choose to wear a life jacket. Not just because a law says you should. But because it's the smart thing to do and with an MTI jacket, it's no big deal! No one ever goes out to play on the water expecting an accident to happen. But unfortunately the unexpected sometimes does happen. And for those times, wearing a PFD could make all the difference. We want folks to safely enjoy our water planet playground. To explore and delight in the waterways in your backyard and far beyond. MTI has over 20 years of experience making life jackets. 20 years of always asking "how can we make it better".
Thank you for keeping us inspired!
